Hey Everyone--

I have a quick question about the UK WHM visa.

I heard that the Visa is valid (meaning you have this amount of time to get into the UK) for only 90 days after being issued. is this true?

I'm wanting to go over to the UK in January (a little flexible with that date) and am thinking that it may be worth while to apply at the very beginning of December, so that I'm not getting close to the 3 month time period that's given to get over to the UK.

Does this time period exist?

Please let me know!

thanks!

From what I understand, the 90 day thing refers to how far ahead you can have your WHM visa dated. So, for example, if you wanted to come over in 01 January 2009, the earliest you could apply for your WHM visa would be 90 days prior to that date. If you were okay with letting some of the time on your visa go to waste, you could apply now for a date within the next 90 days and arrive in the UK whenever you want after that date (you could arrive for the first time a year later and it still wouldn't matter). Not that any of that is relevant to you - long story short in your case, if you want to come over at the beginning of January, you can apply much earlier than December if you want Very Happy.

Hope that helps!

Actually this is wrong. You can only postdate visas up to 3 months in advance. Also you must activate your visa within 30 days of the valid from date or it is voided and you will have to repay and reapply.

This is the reason you may not apply more than 3 months in advance and have WorldBridge turn you away.
