UK work visa to Canadians. Is it that "impossible?"

Is the process/reality for UK work visa to Canadians as tough as what is described on the Home Office website? Did you go through the process? How did you find it? Many thanks,

I haven't gotten a visa via this route but I have a few friends whom have. Difficulty really can vary depending on your profession and a number of extraneous factors. I've heard the easiest way to get a work permit is of course to already have an offer of work once you reach the UK in some cases the employer will sort out the visa for you. If they are not in a position to do so though as long as they provide you a written offer of employment it will go a LONG way towards helping you with your application.

The tough part of this is that unless you are highly skilled in your chosen proffession it will be difficult to get a job without already having a visa.

Getting a work permit without an offer of employment can be tougher, but if your skills fit the 'desired professions' that they are looking for you have a very high chance of being accepted.

Hi

Can you please advise how - where to find what is right profession? Im canadian that want to come and live with teh falimily in UK . I dont have the ancestry option. Any ideas on how i can get UK visa.
