Hi,

I am a Canadian moving to London for post graduate school. I will be applying for a Student Visa. Is my girlfriend (common-law) able to come with me as an unmarried partner and obtain her own visa and also be able to work? From the UK visa website it sounds like an unmarried partner may come if I am settled or plan to be settled in the UK, but I do not know if this counts for a student. If this method does not work, what are the other alternatives for her to come and live with me and be able to work? Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.

Todd
