Unmarried partnership visa UK Vs split up financial claim

Post Mon Sep 05, 2011 5:38 am

Dear all,

I need some advises on the above topice urgently.

I am considering to apply for a unmarried partnership visa based on my boyfriend who is British. We have been together for over 2 year now, but only been living together for 2 years in my house which is under my own name on the mortage.

He contributes to 50% of the household bills but NOT anything to the mortgage. He has also contributed 50% of some wallpapers for the bedroom which costed him £23.00, £100 towards to 50% of a TV and also 50% towards to some plants in front of the house, which cost him £65.00.

I just wondered will he be able to claim on my property if we split up one day after the Visa been issued? and/or will he be able to claim a lump sum against me if this happens?

Your advises would be very much appriciated.

Kind regards

Mazz
