Hi everyone! I am obtaining a new TN status so I can switch employers. I have done it before and feel confident in the procedure. I am scheduled to go through PreFlight Inspection in Toronto Saturday morning. However, I just found out that the Human Resources contact that signed all of my paperwork and is listed as the contact person was very sadly involved in an awful accident yesterday and is in Intensive Care and listed in extremely critical condition. She had provided her cell phone number as a contact number on my offer letter so USCIS could contact her to verify if needed. The person I will be reporting to is in China for the next 3 weeks and is extremely difficult to reach - his cell phone is not working properly there and he is on the road and at different hotels frequently. The HR representative and my future boss (the Pres and CEO) are the only ones who are aware of my employment offer as I will be replacing someone currently on staff and they want to wait until I have my TN documents before they announce the re-structure.
I plan on going through with the TN process on Saturday regardless, but I am wondering if the contact information is going to make me at risk for having any issues. I have never actually seen them call regarding my applications in the past, but I always assumed that they called and confirmed. If they were to call the company itself to verify, they may get some confusings answers since only 2 people are aware of the company offering me the position. Any insight/advice would be appreciated.
Thanks!
