US taxes on Canadian Pension

Post Tue Feb 28, 2006 3:35 am

Is there anyone collecting pension benefits from a Canadian corporation, such as Ford of Canada?
If you live in the U.S. and file U.S. tax return, do you claim the income from that pension in the U.S. tax return? If so, where do you include it; in 1099R section or other income? Do you also include a foreign tax credit or just not mention the 15% which Canada keeps because you are a nonresident Canadian living in U.S.
Thanks.
I called the IRS several times, but I get a vague asnwer.
