use RRSP to invest in Central America Real Estate?

Hi all, Cruz in Costa Rica, originally from Vancouver, but been living down here since 2001 with my entire family, as I married a Tica in 1982

Simple question, both for myself and my Canadian clients here in Costa Rica, and the ones that are still "up north" in Canada. ( I am a real estate developer in Costa Rica)

I have heard that there is a way for someone to use their RRSP, some kind of 2 step process, that they end up with the cash to invest in Costa Rica and still maintain the integrity of their RRSP. If there are any experts out there, let me know how this works, as I have about 20 Canadian clients that could/would use this option if we knew how it worked.
