Vacation to the US - Past Incident Though

Post Mon Jul 05, 2010 1:21 am

I couldn't think of a better subject header

Anyways, what my question is:

In 2006, I made plans to 'move' to the states (I am a Canadian Citizen, and I still am). I didn't go through what you might call 'proper' channels / forms, etc.

I bought my ticket and arrived at the airport and explained to them I had intentions of moving to the US. I was taken aside, they asked me questions about my relatives in the states, did some fingerprinting, etc. After about 40 minutes, they told me I couldn't get on the flight and they sent me home.

What I am wondering is, I am planning on vacationing down in LA for a convention this October (Entry: 21 - Departure: 25) and I was wondering if this past issue will have any effect on my entering the US, Will I not be allowed, pulled aside, etc?

I'll make a note that I no longer have intentions to live in the US, since after the above incident I no longer had interest and gave up on that path.

Thanks for taking the time to answer this question and I apologize if this question was asked before
