Vancouver Biometrics Office

Post Mon Feb 23, 2009 12:22 pm

The biometrics office in Vancouver is located @ 666 Burrard Street. It's right downtown, fairly close to the water front near the Bell tower. It's supposed to be in suite 600 (on the 6th floor) but it's actually to the left of the "suite 600" doors, behind a door with "625" on the front.
There's plenty of parkades around but since it's right downtown you will be paying a minimum of $15.00 an hour- also be aware some places will only accept cash.

Do you know what the phone number is for the office? And approximately how long is the wait for an appointment after you call.

unless you live way outside of the city, the office is easily accessed by transit which is much cheaper than $15 an hour for parking!

Thanks!

Hello,
Does anyone know the phone number to this office to make an appointment? Do you have to make a appointment? Also, anyone know how much it costs?
Thanks

Hi Amanda,

When I booked my appointment, you had to first complete the online application using the WorldBridge website. According to the site, you can't book an appointment until after you've done the Visa application. The costs for the Visa is dependent on the application you choose - i.e. Settlement was around $1200 CDN. As far as I know, I've not been told that this biometric appointment will cost me anything. But I did read that you had to pay for Return Courier Services when your Visa Application is returned to you at the time of the biometric appointment. Even then the site also states: "When your appointment is complete you are responsible for mailing your completed application and documents to the UK Border Agency in Ottawa for processing." So who knows if I have to mail it and pay for courier services right then and there.

There is a "priority" appointment for an additional $60 + tax.

Hope this helps!

Jennifer
