Visa Situation (ancestry)

Post Tue Jun 23, 2009 3:00 am

Hi
I posted this as a response to someone else's thread but thought maybe more people would see it here. Please give me your experiences/thoughts if you could!!

I applied for my UK ancestry visa on Friday, I have received word that it has been received for processing.
I was wondering if anyone has been in a case similar to mine and what documents they submitted.
I am going to teach in the UK, and submitted all of the marriage and birth certificates required, as well as my passport and bankbook. I also submitted my teaching qualifications.
I am worried because I also submitted supporting documents that showed my work experience and they were not original copies and the lady said they may not be considered. My recruiter said since I didnt need those to get the visa that I should be fine, but Im still worried and wanted to check with what other peoples experiences were.....
Also, did anyone have a wait longer than 3 weeks for their visa?
Thanks :)
