visit visa rules for canadian in UAE as of 1Jan 09

Fellow Canadians, Please note- It’s a ""been there done that situation"" so I know.
1. Canadian citizens get 30 day free visa on arrival anywhere in UAE airports, land borders. This comes with a 10 day grace period before a penalty of 100Dhs (33 US$) /day is imposed for each day over stayed.
2. The visa can be extended within for Dhs 500 or an immediate exit/entry will get another 30 days (Fly neighbouring countries for 600-1000 Dhs return) or go to Oman by road for dhs 100 return fare.
3. There is no limit to the number of times one can enter the country in a year.
