Volly opportunities in South America - Hotels / Hostels

Hi Wondering if anyone has any information on volunteering at hotels / hostels anywhere in South America

My Girlfriend and I have been working in Whistler, British Columbia at 5 star hotels in Front office and HR respectively and would like to do some travel on the cheap after the Winter Olympics in 2010

Any advice anyone can give would be really appreciated !

I believe Volunteer Latin America offers work of this type.

The normal arangement is that to get to stay in the Hostel for free with a couple of meals a day.
Most places require you to work for 6+ weeks and have decent Spanish.
I don't know of any paid work in Hostels.
