Waiver and TN

Post Thu Jul 16, 2009 8:02 am

I am Canadian Citizen with valid waiver and I had following Questions

Am I eligble for Applying for TN visa ?
If so ...should i go to port or consulate ?
I have a 4 year engineering degree and masters back from states.
I was caught while working off-campus and charged for working without valid authorization. But at present I do have a valid waiver and I intend to stay in Canada as I have ties here....

Has any one applied for TN with Valid waiver ?
Any experience and comments will help a lot. Thanks

If you've got an approved I-192 you can apply at the POE the same as everyone else does. You can even apply for the waiver itself at certain POEs.

Thanks a lot . With reference to above (TN with Valid waiver) I was going through different post and forums. On some approved waiver there are limitations. Mine says "valid as a vistor for business and pleasure". Is that enough for an application for TN ? Does any one else has standard 192 approval..? Bit nervous to step ahead but way economy is going I have better offers in states than Canada. Whatever input you guys have will be great help. Thanks

Well if it says that it's valid for B only from the sounds of it, so you'd have to get a waiver valid for TN. If you've got it for B I would have thought you could get it for TN-1.
