I have tried looking through all the posts, and thought this may be easier. I met my BF online 2 1/2 years ago. In that time, we've have spent weekends together and stuff.
We have now decided that we want to get married, so that I can be with him more, and eventually we would move my children down as well, to be with him, and his children. (my children are with their father right now) We have also talked about me moving down there, to spend 1/2 my time with him and the other 1/2 back in Canada.
Here is my question:
1) Right now, I'm visiting him about every two weeks, and I plan on staying a bit longer each time, starting the end of this month. ie) a month there, and come home for a week. We've been apart 2 1/2 yrs, and we really want to speed the process up, since we've now become engaged, and obviously want to get married as soon as we can.
2) Can I get married while in the states > and how soon after going down, am I able to do that ?
3) Is it ok to get married before hand, and apply for a visa that I can still stay there, and be able to cross back into Canada while we wait, or do I have to stay in the USA until the application process is complete.
