Wanting to move to Cali

hey everyone, new to this forum! I am currently a Canadian teacher and while i love my job, i am looking to move down to cali and work in education or even better yet, get a job in filmmaking

any ideas from anyone?

all ive heard is that as canadians, if you get an employer to hire you, thats really the main thing you need. is that true?
