So my boyfriend and I met online. I live in Maine, US and he lives in New Brunswick, Canada. We've done the whole visits thing but that can get quite expensive. We wanna live together now. I plan on attending College there Sept of 09'. We've tried everything we know. I'm not a skilled worker(just graduated from high school). We're willing to try ANYTHING as long as we can be together in Canada. We've been through some seriously rough stuff already, and have and are moving past it. We're both extremely serious about this relationship and love each other tremendously. We firmly believe we are meant to be. As cliche as that sounds.

Please, any help would be greatly appreciated because everywhere else we turn to is just an automated system that doesn't help at all. Again, we'll try ANYTHING if it means we can be together. Thanks so much!

Are you planning to get married? That's probably the quickest way to get to permanent residency status. But it won't get you there for quite a few months yet, its quite a long drawn out process.

You said you're planning to attend college there. Have you applied for a student visa?

Check out http://roadtocanada.com for info on immigrating to Canada. And the Canadian Immigration website http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/index.asp for more detailed info and the forms you'll need for whatever you decide.

Don't need visas for student status, you just have to pay the fee and show up with the right paperwork at the POE.

But from the sounds of it getting engaged is the simplest option.

Do you two married? You should do so before living together. Please think critically before making decisions, you are so young to live together. Cool
