Wanting to move to Switzerland

Hi there, I am a Canadian living in Canada and I have read everything about applying for work and obtaining a work permit (and it seems so difficult). Is there any new info from anyone about working for a Canadian company in Switzerland or Swiss companies inclined to hire Canadians and go through the whole permit process?

Do you have Swiss ancestry at all? Or any european acestry? Since Switerzerland is part of the EU nations or w/e it's exactly called, if you have a passport from any of those participating countries you can live and work freely within any of them. For example if you have a German passport you can go work in France without needing to get any permits. Perhaps look into that first, check out your ancestry, just no farther back then your grandparents, like my grandparents were born in Belgium so I am currently inquiring about getting a Belgian passport, because I also want to live/work in Switzerland, it's the move beautiful country.
