Wanting to Relocate to England, but Can't find any info.

Hi, My name is Krystal,

I've been looking into moving to England with my Family, but I don't know what Visas would work for us, or anything of that sort.

I started looking into Working Holiday Visas but in order to get that, you have to be single with no Dependant children, and I'm married with a one year old son.

What kind of papers or immigration things do I have to look at? I can't find anything.

Any information will be greatly appreciated!

yes you will need a visa if you want to live in England (unless you have a British passport).

The website to found out about uk visas is:
http://www.ukvisas.gov.uk/en/

There are different categories of visas depending on what you are looking to do in the UK :
1- ancestry visa (if you have grand parents who are British)
2- student visa (if you would like to study)
3- Work visas (if you are a highly skilled worker or have work experience in certain speciality)
4- Entrepreneur (if you have over £200 000 to invest)

What do you do and what does your husband do(profession) ?
(it will help to know this to see if you could find a visa)

I've been to that site many times but I'm only 19, and don't really have anything for a resume, I could probably be a waitress or something, but mostly I'm a stay at home mom.

My Husband has been working with his dad's construction company since he was eight, during summers and just helping, and after he got out of high school he worked 5 years straight, so he's pretty skilled with that, but he doesn't have a degree or anything.

Is that good enough for a work visa? We only have British in our distant families...

Hi Kristal,

You can only apply for an ancestry visa if your or your husband's grand parents are British (other relatives don't count) or if your parents are British.
Unfortunately, the "easiest" way to get a visa is the Working Holiday visa but as you mentioned before that is for people with no dependants.

The other work visa are quite difficult to obtain, there are different ones.
There is an online points calcutator (http://www.ukba.homeoffice.gov.uk/pointscalculator) to see if your husband could qualify to any but to be honest even with a job offer I think he will not get a visa. That is because before an employer can only offer a job to someone outside the UK (and EU), they have to advertise the job here and at the moment with the recession there are a lot of unemployed construction workers that would be happy to get that job !!

Work visas are restricted so that foreigners can apply only jobs that are on the shortage occupations or when a foreigner is highly skilled so that workers from outside the UK (or EU) do not take jobs that British people can do.

hope this helps
