What Canadian electrical things will work in Australia?

Post Fri Sep 10, 2010 10:48 pm

I'm moving from Canada to Australia next year and don't know what to take - it'll be a permanent move :)
will my electrical heater, computer (I think it will), electrical picture frame, electrical mister etc work in aus (with an adapter)?

Also, if anyone has a good moving company I'd be interested in getting that info. does anyone know how much stuff 20 cubic feet is - the movers all talk in cubic feet as though everyone should know exactly what that means!

thanks

The heater won't work due to voltage issues (I think).

The computer will work with an adapter.

Not sure about the other stuff; but I think generally if something generates heat or cold, it's not going to work.

Cell phone adaptors work fine.. You'll need a plug converter for each item..
Or
As I've done. one plug converter and one power bar.
Something I've noticed with rental spaces seem to have only one outlet per room (why is beyond me).
