Yeah, unfortunatly we cant afford ps3's Sad Im not even in a full time job yet (im only 17 n still in school) so its all going to be pretty rushed once he gets here.
Turns out his mums offered to pay shipping, but after everything shes done to mess this up so far, i just dont trust her to actually pay it >-<

Wow sounds like you've done a lot with your life, its cool. Where did you backpack?

We're going to actually apply for his visa on friday (assuming this birth certificate from torronto ever comes through) so hopefully it will be all good news. We have a booked plane ticket and a move date now, June 29th! Smile

Here is a website to help your boyfriend out with his cat. It's what I've been going by for the past couple of months.

NOTE: MOST OF THIS STUFF HAS TO BE DONE 6 MONTHS IN ADVANCE AT LEAST. After the cat gets the rabies shot, DO NOT get the tenser shot (rabies test) until at least 6 weeks AFTER the rabies shot. My vet helped me with that part.

Make sure you read through the site thoroughly. There are PDF's that you should print off as well. It's all helped me so far. and I'm hoping for the best. Good luck!

defra.gov.uk/animalh/quarantine/index.htm

(I'm not allowed to post a web site. I hope that works. I'm just trying to help.)

Thank you! I've been looking at the DEFRA stuff already, apparently its going to cost into the hundreds for him to get all the shots though? And she has no previous paperwork as shes never been to the vet and shes adopted from an animal shelter. (so hes got no idea if she got her kitten shots etc)

The main issue we have at the moment is the airline he's now booked with said they accepted animals, but it now turns out they dont accept them for the UK (which has now been updated on their website -.-Wink So ive emailed both them and DEFRA but as it is, it looks like shes not going to be able to get here! Sad

Uhm. Well mine has been pretty pricey so far. The tenser shot cost $190, and to get his rabies shot and his other yearly shots it cost $200-something. And I have -no- idea how much the flight will cost since I haven't yet booked that (I haven't booked mine, soooo. haha). But he's my baby, and I can't leave him behind.

I don't know if any of the past shots really matter, to be honest. The cat needs to have his/her rabies shot, get the blood test to make sure it worked, and then the tick treatment. That's all they really talk about on any of the web sites. So he (your boyfriend) may not have to worry.

I should probably book my tickets soon so I actually know how much money is left. >.> But I'm not leaving 'til July. so I still have time at least. A couple more paychecks maybe.

Hehe, thanks. I work for a graphics type company, and so have access to pictures galore as well as Photoshop. So it's pretty easy to make a picture like that so long as one knows what they're doing. ^-^

If ya book em now then they'll be cheaper! When i looked the other day air transat to manchester airport were cheapest - all depends on where ya wanna end up Razz

And wow, alright for some. Wish i had actual access to things like that! I have photoshop on the college computers but if they catch you doing anything other than your work then they make your life unbearable Wink

My boyfriend (who's family I'm moving in with) live about a 20 minute drive from Heathrow, so it's a lot easier to fly into there (along with my cat). Unfortunately, it's usually more expensive as well. >.> Plus, because of the cat, I can only fly by certain airlines, which I also have to keep an eye out for.

Plus, I haven't actually finished (or even started >.>) my application. just trying to gather together everything I need.

You can't go after hours? S'what I used to do.
