What do you miss?

Post Fri Dec 23, 2005 4:45 pm

I am missing fresh air, uncomplicated people not playing head games, good friends, Tim Hortons and VACHON CAKE!

The biggest thing I miss is the fresh air, and the nature. The space and uncrowdedness. I was at a mall yesterday and I've never seen so many people. You couldn't even walk, more or less got pushed along with the crowd. I thought it was bad in Canada but here you've got more people and tighter spaces.

i miss something that really does not exist
in the UK - good customer service.
and that applies to BT and any UK-based bank.

in fact, sometimes i feel like i'm living in a third world country.

In general, a higher standard of living is found in Canada
espcially when it comes to convience (and other luxuries along that line).

and while its nice being in canada for the holidays visiting family+friends, the maple leaf in covent garden -i will not go near! london is far more interesting than that place. plenty of great pubs.

the domestic beer is good. no?
and the english burgers are fine too,
but perhaps canadian burgers are more satisfying.
must admit, i haven't given it much thought.

I miss the old Molson Canadian commercials that made you swell with pride at being Canadian and at the same time allow you to laugh at yourself.

Hey, don't fret my fine Canadian beer connoisseurs...you can get both Moosehead and Sleemans Honey Brown at the Republic Bier Halle in Glasgow...near the train station. Yummm! :D

Ah, thank you! I'm moving back home in a few short months, and I'd heard of a good sushi place on Lonsdale but couldn't remember the name. It apparently had real crab in the rolls, is that the right restaurant? In any case, I'll give this one a go. I'll be living in Lower Lonsdale, and I'm so excited to be around all the things I've been missing for 2.5 years!
