What does it take to work in New Zealand

I am looking for some insights into what i need to do to move to New Zealand. Mainly I am thinking about work visas and getting a job. I need to be pointed in the right direction. Thanks

A friend of mine is moving to NZ in January for a year. They are doing the WWOOF program, and got a working holiday Visa.

I guess it depends what kind of work your looking for. There is also the SWAP program.
