Hey,

I'm worried that for whatever reason, my TN status could be denied. I have my letter and proof of ability and education, but what if they don't think my position description is the same as what's specified in the dictionary definition of the TN profession I fit under?

Does that mean I've officially been denied entry to the US? or can I proceed but only as a canadian traveler?

Also, for proof of bachelor's degree, do I need to bring the actual degree or just a copy?

Thanks!

I think they will escort you back to Canada if they aren't satisfied with your documentation, but they will tell you why they weren't satisfied and if it's something minor, you can get a revised letter and come back the next day.

If it's something major, then lawyers may need to get involved.

Definitely bring the original degree.

what if they decide my position description doesn't ultimately conform to the tn professional description? can I come back as a visitor the the states the next day?

that would be totally up to the POE officer at the time you try to cross. No one here could answer that question.

I have not tried this, but I've heard that if you are denied a TN, you can ask at that moment to withdraw the application. It will then be up to the officer to allow you to withdraw it with no record or to deny you entry which stays on your record. We have 2 denied entries on record because the first TN took 2 letter rewrites.
