What is better?

I'm going to study abroad but it's between 3 universities. Griffith University, Queensland University of Technology, Notre Dame in Fremantle. I can't decide because I don't know anything about Brisbane or Femantle or which university will be better. I want to go somewhere where the nightlife is awesome (bars, clubs) outgoing friendly people. Somewhere where I can meet a lot of people my age. 21 Where should I go?

Hey Hoffmaal,
Do yourself a favor and take a look at the Royal Melbourne Institute of Technology ( RMIT ).
It's recognised worldwide as a top level tertiary institution and it's right in the heart of downtown Melbourne, a much better city to live in than either Brisbane or Perth, not that they're that bad, they quite nice cities, but Melbourne has ranked in the top most livable cities in the world for the last five years. It's also known as the restaurant capital of the world, everything from great cheap wholesome food to seriously high class stuff.
Lots of nightlife there as well (you've got to take a break from study every now and then).
Give it a look!

Not an option

Postby hoffmaal on Thu Jan 24, 2008 12:34 pm

Steve,

Thanks for your input. I have heard so many good things about Melbourne, but it isn't an option for me due to classes available and stuff like that. I really wish I could go there though because everyone keeps saying Melbourne. LOL. but what would you suggest out of my options?

Hoffmaal,
If I had to make a choice between Brisbane or Perth, I'd take Brisbane as it's closer to all the other major cities in Australia, the climate is great and it's closer and therefore cheaper to fly home if you need to (domestic air fares in Australia are much like Canada - i.e. expensive)
Perth, while it's also a great city, is the most remote capital city in the world. The nearest major city is Adelaide which is 3500 kms away!

I'd say Brisbane as well.

Cheers!
