Great forum!

One time I was in a chatroom and an American asked me if Canada had turkey.
They were serious.

Ever since then, I like to tell any Americans I meet online that Canada doesn't have turkey and uses wooden nickels.
I can't believe how many believe me.

Oy.

I tried not to sound condescending when I responded with,

I was once at a sporting goods store in Dallas and met some Texans who were going to Southern Ontario to camp in July. They showed me a sleeping bag made for -30C temperatures and asked me if it'd be warm enough. They then proceeded to ask me if there were platforms to pitch a tent on so "no snow gets in".

Oh deary me.

I got asked just about every stupid question listed so far but the best one had to be "you actually have black people up there? I thought they were only here and in Africa?"

Asked by a black kid in a detention facility after I told him the skin colour of a very famous Calgary Flames hockey player.
