My name is Sherry. Here is my little scenario. I am engaged to a Moroccan man. We will be married in the summer and we want to move to Casablanca, Morocco to live. I am so excited about everything. But we do need a little help. We need to know what we need to do and who we need to contact so that I can live in Morocco with him. Any advice that you are able to give us would be very much appreciated. Once we are in Morocco I would love to meet you. I have been living in Casablanca for 2 years and am married to a Moroccan man. We have a small daughter, she is one year old. So when are you planning to move to Casablanca? I also am dying to meet some foreigners. I had a pretty big culture shock when I came here and am still struggling with it. I lived in Montreal Canada for 18 years, but was born in Romania. I'm soooo glad I found this forum! I have so much to think about! I'm married to a man from Morocco too, and we are considering settling to his country. But, the thing is, I would need to have a job to pay back my student loans... is there such a thing as a job that pays more then 35$ a week for a woman who only babbles a few words of arabic ? I don't have a specific city in mind yet, we would go wherever I could find something interesting.

I just moved to Rabat for 6 months, until december, and I arrived 2 weeks ago. I haven't met any Canadians yet either and I would love to meet people from our dear country. I'm from montreal and always motivated to meet up with people!

Hello All.. Glad to have found this forum too.. It's nice to know there are so many other Canadians living and loving it here in Morocco. I have been living in Morocco on and off for a year and a half and was located outside Casablanca but moved to Essaouira 6 months ago. It's beautiful here but so small and far from civilization I think I should have stuck with vacations here instead. Really considering moving to Rabat for more opportunities and civilization. Had started a small project here in Essaouira but as happens with many a foriegner here it seems I met with to many tricks and tribulations to want to continue. So as it stands, I'm very interested in seeking new friends and new opportunities here in Morocco.
