by Dremani » Sat Jun 13, 2009 10:38 am Hi Jelisa, even though you mentioned you will not be commenting any further, I hope you at least read my comment. I'm not here to bash you but give you some advice which in this case "I hope is original". LOL

You should visit the Non profit companies in person and let them know you're interested in finding work as a career counselor. Even if its part time. Ask them if they're willing to do a trial run with you to see how well you work in that type of environment. My husband is seeking part time teaching at a college also here in Florida and he made connections by visiting the schools career departments. He gave them his credentials and one school may consider him. So we're keeping our fingers crossed. One person posted looking for employment in other states. Honestly, that is true. Being willing to relocate will make the job hunt a little easier and will allow you to keep your options open. Please go to networking events. I've also done that and its not a bad thing. Who knows, you may run into the right person. So keep your head up and don't get so stressed out. You will find what you're looking for you just have to be a little patient. Here is a link to some Non profits in Florida

Thank you darling for not "Bashing" me. Some people just don't get what I'm saying and English is the only language I speak so I'm glad you understood me. I wish you and your husband the very best of luck in the future.

Your childishness and immaturity is quite evident. I'm not sure what exactly it is that you claim to have won, since this is a forum, not a contest. Acting like a child is not going to get you anywhere with the people on this forum and it most certainly will not get you anywhere in your job search (or in your life).

I certainly hope that we never hear from you again. The rest of us will be better off, believe me.

By the way, I am not, nor will I ever be your "sweetie."

Don't get it twisted hun. I don't heart you. I have to talk down to you for you to understand my jargon. I don't need you telling me how my job search will be in comparison to my "attitude" in this forum. Do yourself a favour, dissapear and take a page from the above posts' book. As a matter of fact I'll save you a copy how about that.

Haha. No one is getting anything "twisted." You said previously that any future comments would be disregarded and clearly that was not the case. You might want to spend less time being bitchy on here and more time in your job search, if that's really your main concern. (I'm starting to think that it's not...)

In any case, good luck with the job search! You're going to need it.

Now do us all a favor and find another forum to be bitchy in. Thanks!

Like I said before, I'm not here to BASH you. It's not constructive much less tastless on my part. I don't deal with people this way and neither should you.

And your welcome. You have a great amount of energy!..LOL Spend it in your job search. You seem very confident so I'm positive you will find something soon. I believe the type of job you are seeking requires either a TN or an H1 B so at least there are two options but it really depends on the employer.

I hope the back and forth biting between you and the other members ends here because I think it's getting a little stale. :-|
Good Luck again anyway :)

I think we've had quite enough from JelisaS.

Closing the thread as it is not serving any further purpose but to bicker.
