Which Visa to apply for?

Postby Mike Zee » Thu Sep 27, 2007 9:23 am

I am a Canadian citizen and representing a U.S company here in Canada for he last 2 1/2 years. I have been offered the same position and title but in the U.S. Which visa should I apply for? It is a Territory Manager position, is it possible to obtain a visa?

They could likely get you an L1B visa, which is an inter-company transfer visa. Check the USCIS website for the forms and instructions to find out if you qualify.

L-1B is for specialized skills employees, you need to apply for L-1A status. Canadians can apply at Ports of Entry or Preclearance Operations (International airports in Canada.)
