I realize it's not really that hot here (as opposed to on the face of the sun for instance), but good grief...I would give up one of my citizenships for air!

It's a European thing. although at the moment I am in my flat in Basel (working here) and enjoying the portable room AC unit I bought. Smile

I worked in Covent Garden last year and the AC conked out in our shiny new buidling and the temp was up to +37 in the room. we were told the AC can't handle anything over 30. I asked them how the Qataris manage it as when I was there it was +50!

Don't worry, the crappy English Island weather will come back soon I am sure. Smile

Heya!
Just got back from Morocco.

Air conditioning - Most taxis in Morocco have actually got the window handles removed so people can't even roll down the windows and get air. They think it makes you sick for some reason. Thankfully since I was a foreigner, the driver would use a spare handle to roll down my window for me. Pretty crazy, considering how damned hot it is there!

It's going to be freaking hot again today here in Oxfordshire, about 33-34C.EEK. We have the fans going and I shudder to think what Southern Electric is going to recoup from us later.blah! I have to go to hospital (private) today for a procedure and I'm sure they will have A/C so I will enjoy my few hours of cool relief.ahhhhhh! Hope you're all surviving yet another scorcher!

Laura Smile
