I am in a dilemma of sorts. I understand that TN is a temp visa and its important that the immigration authorities see me as a temporary worker.

However, my wife moved to the US a few months back on an H1 (my son moved with her on a H4). I found employment in the same town this month and would like to join my family. My question is, will the immigration officer not see my family "ties to the US" and hence act adversely?

thanks,
confused.
PS - I don't own a home in Canada.

The bare fact of being married to an H-1B is completely not relevant to your intent.
