Will I be considered an international student?

Postby sabresfan1992 on Mon Nov 17, 2008 7:24 pm

Hi, I am a citizen of both Canada and the UK, but live in Canada. I am considering applying to university in Northern Ireland (where the citizenship if for) but I was wondering if i'd have to pay international rates, considering I have never lived their. I only ask because university is expensive enough already without having to pay those outragous prices.

Thanks in advance.

I am also a Canadian who has British citzenship as well. I am in my first year at school in England. I had never lived in the UK before coming here so I did have to pay international fees. You must be living in the UK 3 years before you can be categorized as a domestic student. So you will have to suffer paying over twice as much as the Northern Irish.

thanks for clearing that up for me.I really don't understand why they make british citizens pay international fees just because you don't live their, and I don't think I ever will
