Will I be in trouble?

Post Wed Nov 30, 2011 2:09 am

Hi everyone.

I live in Vancouver B.C and my boyfriend lives in Seattle WA.

I work for myself and own a condo in Vancouver. I drove to Seattle from time to time almost every week. Every time the officer asks me how long I will stay I am always honest and answer from 1 day to 2 weeks, depends how long I will stay every visit.

This year I have been visiting a lot. I think maybe a little over 6 month, maybe not. Because there are many trips and I never had any problem getting in and out, I lost count.

Is there any way I can find out how long I have actually stayed in the US this year? Can I go to the border and ask the officer? Will I get into ant trouble.

There is only 3 hours drive from Vancouver to Seattle. In case anyone wonder how can I afford to go so often, it is not expensive at all.

Thanks for you time.

Your pattern of entry and exit is PERFECTLY FINE. No need to ask; there is no limit on number of total days you can enter, since you clearly have enough ties in canada, and you leave faithfully.

But how does this aggree with your staory about gong to China for 8 months?

Thanks.

That was last year. I return to Vancouver last Dec

Since I have been in and out of US a lot this year. I have never even been questioned how long I stay last time. I have been questioned few times how often I visit. I said every one or two weeks. Then I never get question more.

I just found this forum and read a lot become worried.

Again thanks.
