Will I get ALL of my documents back?

Post Thu Jan 14, 2010 9:04 am

Hey guys! Last question, as my biometrics appointment is on Monday!

I am sending with my visa my Grandma's and my original birth certificates (hers is from 1921 - it's an OLD piece of paper!) and I am just wondering if I will receive them back with my visa in the mail? My aunt gave me the certificate, and I'm concerned I won't have it to give back to her... also, do I need to send photocopies of them as well as the originals?

Thanks!

Yes, you will get them back. They can make their own copies.

You should retain a copy however, in case they are lost, so that you can get them more easily replaced (ie, you will have the information contained on them sio the archives can more easily be searched.

Old as they are, these documents are probably not irreplaceable.
