Winter flights to England

Post Thu Jul 08, 2010 9:20 pm

So I have the urge to go to Birmingham, England during the university winter break from 20 Dec till 2 Jan. All the prices I've found into Manchester and London seem to be in the $1000-$1500 range, will this change or are these just the most expensive down-season flights in recorded history?

Cheers,

Try Canadian Affair or Air Transat, they usually have the cheapest flights. If you are close to Seattle, Icelandair has cheap flights but you need to connect through Reykjavik. You can also try expedia or travelocity sometimes they have good deals.

Good Luck

Hi,
It's better if you contact some travel agencies. Not only for details some times they provide great discount offers.

And, just as a note, those dates are technically not "low season" as such. Christmas break is a busy time for travelling. It might make a difference if you were able to leave 5-7 days earlier and return 4-7 days later. If you have any flexibility, it may be worth it. Also, I have found that being willing to depart on Christmas day or very early in the morning on New Year's day, has saved me a bundle.
All the best,
Allyssa
