Wondering how to move to the US with my American girlfriend

Hi, I am a 19 year old Canadian guy and I have an American girlfriend, im hoping to figure out how I can move to the US and live with her and I am hoping to figure out how fast I can do that, I have heard about green cards and ive heard how long it could take to get one, I have also heard about travelers Visa's and I would like to know if I could reside in the US and maintain a job long enough to be sponsered by an employer using a travelers visa, would i also be able to make payments on the visa while residing in the US. Im currently doing a course at a Canadian trades school for a liscense that will allow me to work with natural gas and propane appliances, the course will end in may of this year and I was wondering if it would be possible to be with her shortly after the course. Any information regarding my problem such as costs or a timeline of how long this could take would be much appreciated.

Either you get married to an American, or you get an education and then an employment sponsor. There is no 'time spent in US' that will get you a visa.

the trade you are studying will not qualify you for such a visa.
