Work Holiday Visa Statement Advice

Post Fri Nov 13, 2009 2:12 pm

I am planning on moving to Perth in Febuary with a girlfriend who will be going to school there. She has her visa and everything approved I have just been putting it off because I am not sure what I should put in my statement at the end of the application. What are they looking for enthasism, awareness of tax information and banking? Just want to make sure I include the right information so I get approved. Thanks

I don't even remember putting a statement on. I submitted my application online and got approval in less than 24 hours. Same with my 2nd working holiday visa. They get thousands of these applications and I'd say as long as you've answered all the other questions to their satisfaction they're not even going to read your statement. I kinda thought that was only to explain if you had something in your app that might throw up a red flag.

I don't remember if I put anything in there. I thought it was just to explain things further.

As long as you're not a bomb expert and you have a passport number, you're good to go. Customs didn't even bat an eyelid at me. It's not nearly as terrifying of a process as you'd think it is.
