Work in Freiburg area

Hi there, I'm considering a move to Germany in the near future in order to be with my girlfriend who lives there. Right now she works for Airbus in Hamburg, but we are thinking of trying to live/work...

Hi there, I'm considering a move to Germany in the near future in order to be with my girlfriend who lives there. Right now she works for Airbus in Hamburg, but we are thinking of trying to live/work in the Freiburg area.

I'm a Mechanical Engineer, but I don't have a working knowledge of German. Does anyone know how easy it would be to find this kind of work in that area (Basel maybe)? We are also considering Munich, or anywhere that's close to the mountains!

Thanks in advance for any help. Seems like a lot of people here are in my (future) situation.
