Work visa or sponsorship job for London 2012

Post Fri Sep 23, 2011 6:18 pm

Hi there, I am trying to find a way to get myself a visa or a job sponsorship to get back into London (would love to work for the Olympics 2012, worked for Vancouver 2010 and it was amazing). I also love the city of London, I have already done my ymv visa for there for 2 years (5 years ago). So would need to get a work visa for there or a company that would sponsor me. But I know how complicated it is to get a visa for London. I am not a highly skilled worker etc. (I have a legal sec degree and a tourism & hospitality degree). Does anyone have any ideas on ways to get sponsored for companies there? Or certain types of work visas they have available that are reasonably easy to get. Thanks for any help! :D

What I am posting back to you is the only things that come to mind right now without you tellng us if or what steps you may have already done.

First off - you've been there before [was it on a YMS visa?] & presumably have a National Insurance number.

You are also degreed, have worked an olympic event previousy & would think that you are still under 30

One suggestion - have you looked at & applied at the LOG website?

I would also like to suggest, considering you are after a specific work type - that you could try applying now for a temporary work visa - specific to & for the olympic event

You have not said whether you may also qualify for an ancestry visa?

Disclaimer: I am not an immigration expert & anything that I post on visa & immigration is based soley on more than 30 years of personal experience & interaction with the UKBA & Home office.
