Working AUH and single mother possible?

Postby isantoire on Fri Nov 28, 2008 5:23 pm

Hello all !

I might be asking for a transfert in Abu Dhabi very soon. Hotel industry. Would you know the living condition of a single mother of 3 year old boy? About babysitting too ? Many thanks !

I live in Dubai and not in ABu DHabi, but for a while we were considering moving to ABu Dhabi, so I can offer a little assistance- first of all rents in ABu Dhabi are very expensive and properties right now are hard to find, so please check this out before making a move.

Childcare is usually in the form of a full-time live in maid that your sponsor from another country but you have to have a bedroom for them. also there are substantial fees but well worth it for the convenience I would think. There are daycare options but they are fixed hours (usually 8:30 to 12:30 with the option to stay until 5 pm, but usually no later, so unless that is compatible with your working hours you may find it difficult to juggle on your own.

Abu Dhabi is beautiful. good luck!
