Working Holiday Visa over 30?

Post Mon Apr 20, 2009 11:38 pm

Hi,

I am new to the forum. I heard from my cousin that lives in Australia, that it may be possible for me to get a working holiday visa past the age of 30 (I'm 36), if I write a letter to immigration stating why I couldn't work in the country previously. Has anyone done this, or does my cousin not know what he is talking about?

I am a qualified teacher from Canada, and I read that I can get a job, and be sponsored to go to Australia. I heard that this can be a long process. Another problem is that I have been teaching English abroad in Korea for the last three years, and don't have much experience in public schools. I want to be able to go to Australia at the end of August.

Any information appreciated.
