working holiday visa question

Post Wed May 07, 2008 11:28 am

I was wondering if you could help give me some advice on working in Oz. I was thinking of applying for a working holiday visa in Australia and looking for work in Melbourne. I am a bit apprehensive about this. I would be looking for an entry level graduate job and fear the only work I would be able to find would be seasonal work. Thank you in advance for your time.

check seek.com.au you will be able to search the job field and get an idea. I had a pretty easy time finding a job. You have to check the restrictions on your visa though, I was only allowed to work 6 months max at one job on my year work visa.
Hope that helps :)

Thanks for the prompt response cherieboberry1. I will have a working holiday visa and will have the six month restriction. I was wondering if this would restrict me from attaining an office job? I’m 26 years old and don’t really feel like moving there to pick fruit.
