Working Holidaymaker visa?

Post Fri Jan 02, 2009 8:17 pm

Hi,

I am looking into spending some time in the UK and was looking into the Working Holidaymaker Visa but I am now unsure if that is still offered. If anyone can help me? If it isn't available then are there other options?

The "Working Holidaymaker" is now under a new name called the "Youth Mobility Scheme". Check out this link from the UK Border Agency and it will give you ALL the info you need for Eligability, Applying, Cost, Etc...
I used this VISA in 2005 and it was very useful to decide if I liked it here and what opportunities are available. I have since moved to England from Canada!

Thanks Ccastein, that is very helpful. It answers most of my questions on the visa. Has anyone gone through this proses recently? If so how did it go for you?

The process back in 2005 when it was still the holidaymaker was quite simple, just filled out the application and sent it in with the fee. A couple weeks later my passport came back with the visa in it. Not sure exactly how it works now since they have changed up the visa process, but I am sure it will be fine for you as long as you have all the proper documents.
