Hi Hulagurl,
I'm in the UAE, not working the health sector, but know people that work here in the Sheik Khalifa Medical Centre that are Canadian. I can talk to you about what it's like here to live etc if you want. Are you a doctor or some other specialist. The UAE is very open to foreign professionals, but you do have to have a job here first before you come, in order to be sponsored for your work visa. You could come for the proverbial 30 tourist visit and job hunt then, but if you get hired while you're here you can end up getting hired as a local. It's almost better to get hired when you're at home because you then get hired as an expat....but I guess it depends on why you want to come to the Emirates......feel free to email me or post and ask. I will do what I can to help.
Cheers,
Expatmich

Hi

I am a canadian living in Toronto. I have just got an offer from a company in Abu-Dhabi (Etisalat)

My wife works has a MD (from Iraq) and has several years experience in Canada. She doing some medical research (epidemiology) and works currently for the Ministry of Health. She uses statistics to analyze medical information (trends...) and uses softwares such as SAS, SPSS, Access.

Do you think she could easily find a job in Abu-Dhabi? Which organization (Hospitals, Ministry of Health) can she contact to inquiry about job opportunities?

Thanks in advance for your cooperation
