working or doing an internship in France- any advice?

I am planning on moving to France in January and would like to find an internship, or even better a job, with a non-profit/non-governmental organization.
Does anyone have any advice on how to look for a internship in this field in France?
and/or does anyone know of a site online or other source that has a directory of French NPOs & NGOs?
Any info at all would be greatly, greatly appreciated
