Hey Hosers,

Just a quick note to let you all know that you can see the 2006 World Hockey Championships at a Canadian owned pub called The Famous 3 Kings right next to West Kensington tube in London.

Given that neither the NASN or any other UK network is picking up the Championship, this could very well be the only place in London showing the games.

It's a pretty good atmosphere, and a great place to party with Czechs, Slovaks, Finns and Swedes. (Yes, Grapes would be mortified).

While there are a few Canadians there, we are definitely outnumbered...so that is where YOU come in. Be sure to put on your maple leaf and get ready to cheer yourself hoarse.

The line-ups there can get very long, so be sure to get there early.

You can get a schedule of the games at the following website (remember that Latvia is 2 hours ahead):

http://www.ihwc2006.lv/

The time has come for Canada to shake off the shame of the winter olympics and once again claim what is rightfully ours....the gold medal.

Look forward to seeing you there.

RL

Anyone planning on going to a game? I'm thinking of going next weekend and maybe catching a game if there's one playing. Gotta check the game schedule.

Plan on going to the Canada vs USA game tonight, and will likely make most the games over the next couple of weeks.

Wouldn't worry to much about the planning, there definitely will be Canadians there for each of our games, but the group will likely vary in size depending on the day.

So don your maple leaf, and come find us when you get there. You know how friendly Canucks are...the more the merrier.

Hey,

Actually I meant going to Latvia! I think there's a low-cost airline that goes there, I'm gonna find out. I see front row tickets are around 45 Euro- I'd pay that to see some first-class hockey!

This thread has got over 200 hits, but didn't see 200 more Canadians at the pub to watch the games.

Let's go Canucks!

Canada vs Sweden. 6:15pm at The Famous 3 Kings pub right next to West Kensington.

See you there!
