Burkina Faso is a West African country, and possibly one of the poorest in the world. Don’t let that keep you away though- Burkina Faso is one of the most stable countries in the region and very welcoming to the adventurous tourist who comes to visit.
Ouagadougou (what a great name!) is the capital of Burkina Faso, and as such hosts many of the country’s cultural buildings and museums. Ouagadougou (or Ouaga) also is known for it’s upbeat character, hotels, and friendly nature, as is most of the other major cities of Burkina Faso.
The main international airport is in Ouagadougou and is served by Air France and several other African airlines for more regional flights. Flights to Burkina Faso are most likely going to be served by Air France if you’re flying in from Europe or North America.
Burkina Faso has accommodation for tourists in the main cities, usually hotels, hostels and guest houses.
