It’s all wrapped in taro leaves and pressure cooked in a sea-weed packed oven. You won’t taste anything like it in any other part of the world. Kiribati doesn’t have a lot of restaurants so you may want to eat as soon as you come across one.

The national airline is Air Kiribati, and the main airport is in Tarawa. Just northeast of Bilenibeu. The main ports are Banaba, Christmas Island and Tarawa.

There are not a lot of hotels in Kiribati, but don’t let that get in your way. There are major hotels on Tarawa, Christmas Island and Abemama as well as budget rest houses on all the islands.
