Papua New Guinea travel tips & advice

Papua New Guinea (known as PNG) is an island nation in Melanesia. The capital is Port Moresby. It consists of 11 regions, 7 on the mainland and 4 other islands within the region. This mysterious island is a real paradox for the daring traveler who is willing to take it on. There is a nonexistent tourist infrastructure, so the inexperienced traveler may find this less exciting and more aggravating. However, for those who want to tackle this wild island on, they will not be disappointed. A couple of things they may encounter include:

* Zoological gardens that exposes the incredible flora and fauna that make the island home
* Museums that offer an overview of the history
* Incredible diving and the possibility to discover new species never before known to a traveler
* A city that offers a breathtaking show every evening - a large community of bats flying to retrieve their nightly dinner from nature.
* A peek into a culture that has a unique way to intertwine old customs with modern discoveries.
