Non Resident or resident status and taxes

I am in the same situation now, have been living out of canada for last 2 years, haven't file taxes yet, nor declared Non resident status to CRA.
I am not sure if my situation qualifies me as non-resident or need to file? I need to figure it out before tax deadline...If you know how to file taxes on world income, will appreciate a reply.

I will be doing this first time, not sure if I want to maintain my residency at this point, might be out of the country for a couple more years.Do I just call the CRA and let them decide.. Have some secondary ties there.

Some insight would be great........i Live in UAE and if anyone knows how to go about it..appreciate

If that be the case that all UAE residents don't qualify then am debating whether to apply for NR73 as the jury is divided.On This forum itself there are mixed opinions for and against the NR73.Would be great to hear from someone who actually managed to get non resident status with maintaining very minimal ties.
