About Old Taos Guesthouse B&B

Nestled amid a grove of stately old Taos cottonwoods and spruce, our Taos bed and breakfast inn began as an adobe home built over 200 years ago. Situated on 7.5 acres on a rise overlooking Taos, the small home grew into a beautiful bed and breakfast hacienda with a rich and colorful history. See a video about beauty at the Old Taos Guesthouse to the right.

Throughout the century it evolved from a farmer’s home to an artist’s estate and then to a guesthouse in the 1940s. Almost 50 years later we rescued the building from deterioration and lovingly restored it in the southwestern tradition.

Our location is less than 2 miles east of Taos Plaza situated on 7.5 acres of park-like gardens and farmland with spectacular views and many private spots in which you can relax and reflect. Each of our ten guestrooms offer southwestern charm with hand carved doors and furniture, private outdoor entrances, private baths, some with fireplaces or skylights and some with kitchens. We serve up a delicious homemade southwestern full breakfast each morning before you head out to explore our enchanting and historical community that we love to share with you.

We have been complemented for many years on the comfortable, cozy feeling of our rooms. All of them have private outdoor entrances, private baths and are individually decorated with the charm of the southwest. There’s locally handmade, carved furniture and doors, Mexican tile bathrooms, some with viga beams and fireplaces and some with large skylights.
